How to reach Vikas Nagar, Lucknow — from the station, airport and bus stand
Arriving in Lucknow by train, flight or bus? Here's the simplest way to get to Vikas Nagar, with real distances, auto and cab options, and what to tell the driver.
Vikas Nagar sits in north Lucknow, next to Aliganj, about 2 km from Kapoorthala Market. It's a quiet, well-connected residential area — close enough to the city's sights, far enough to sleep properly. Here's how to get here from wherever you land.
From Badshahnagar Railway Station (3.1 km)
This is the closest station to Vikas Nagar and the easiest arrival point if your train stops here — many trains on the Lucknow–Gorakhpur line do. From the station exit, an auto-rickshaw takes about 10 minutes and usually costs ₹60–100. Ola and Uber both pick up here too.
Tell the driver: "Vikas Nagar Sector 2, Gulachin Mandir ke saamne" — the temple is a landmark every local driver knows.
From Lucknow Junction / Charbagh (about 9 km)
If you arrive at Charbagh — Lucknow's main station — you're looking at a 30–40 minute ride depending on traffic. A cab (Ola/Uber) typically runs ₹200–300; autos are cheaper but slower on this route. The drive crosses the Gomti and comes up through Daliganj (3.6 km from us).
From Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport
The airport is on the south-west edge of the city, roughly a 45–60 minute drive from Vikas Nagar depending on traffic. Prepaid taxis and app cabs are available at arrivals around the clock; expect ₹400–600. If you land late at night, don't worry — our reception is staffed 24×7, just message us your ETA on WhatsApp.
From Kaiserbagh Bus Station (5.6 km)
Intercity buses from Delhi, Kanpur, Ayodhya and most of UP stop at Kaiserbagh. From there it's a 20-minute auto ride to Vikas Nagar — ₹100–150 is fair.
